Explore one of the most beautiful little towns in Dalmatian Hinterland. Imotski is situated on the northern side of Biokovo massif, close to the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina and the nearest coastal town is Makarska. The town was first mentioned as Imotski in 10th century. Imotski is known for its medieval fortress on the rocks of Blue Lake. Another phenomen is the Red Lake which looks like an eye in the scenery. Both lakes are said to be connected with underground channels to the Adriatic Sea.

What you can expect:

 After picking you up at pre-arranged meeting point or at your hotel we begin our journey to Imotski. Driving slowly through the tunnel St.Ilija we enter the area of Imotski region, which is historical name for the area located in the background of mountain Biokovo. After sightseeing all the nature beauties as Prolosko swamp, Ricice – Green Lake and Red Lake on our way to Imotski, we arrive to town where you will have over two hours of free time where you can explore town or take a swim in a favourite bathing area of local people – Blue Lake. Imotski is a town with Mediterranean climate, stone houses. It is rich with beautiful Art Noveau facades and fences. You can climb also to the Topana fortress and take a beautiful panorama photo of town and lakes. Imotski is also known for its traditional singing called “ganga”.
